As educators, we strive to optimize student learning and engagement. Are our teaching practices effective? Do our assessments work? The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) involves integrating teaching and research to better understand our educational processes – and sharing our findings through scholarly products. This program will help participants identify strategies for 1) designing a SoTL project,2) implementing a SoTL intervention, 3) analyzing education data, and 4) disseminating SoTL findings.

  3. Identify 1-2 specific opportunities and contexts in which you might apply those techniques/tools in your project
  4. Identify 1-2 specific next steps you could take to build on what you’ve learned in this session
